Westmoreland County Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Coordinator/Financial Aid Operations position. The Coordinator/Financial Aid Operations is responsible for all aspects of communication management for financial aid, and assists with Compliance measures and procedures.
The salary range minimum for this position is $51,315. We also offer an excellent benefits package that includes:

Essential Job Functions:
- Assists in Audit preparation.
- Assist with Compliance measures and procedures.
- Oversees Financial Aid Communications to students – phone, text, email, and automation through Anthology, etc.
- Monitors Documents sent and received.
- Provide confidential assistance and counseling to students and parents concerning application and processing of available aid programs and scholarships.
- Assist with the Reconciliation Process.
- Provide support to the College’s recruitment efforts by providing financial aid information to high schools, civic organizations, businesses and others as needed. Represent the Financial Aid office at College events (i.e. Open Houses, fairs, etc.)
- Review and assist students with resolution of FAFSA C-Codes and Verification.
- Complete outside agency forms for students in regard to financial aid eligibility or benefits, such as OVR, Career Link, Deferment forms, etc.
- Work closely with the Director/Financial Aid to ensure financial aid processes are running efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local changes to policies and regulations.
- Perform job duties in accordance with College policies and procedures; adhere to bargaining unit agreements as applicable.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years of related work experience in financial aid or finance is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Related work experience in higher education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of technical principles, theories and concepts in field of specialization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of management processes to effectively plan, organize, implement, direct, control and evaluate programs assigned within areas of functional responsibility.
- Ability to handle sensitive and complex issues consistently, confidentially and professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage multiple tasks in a constantly changing work environment while paying attention to detail.
- Ability to independently make decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse population.
- Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service.
Successful candidate will be required to provide/obtain the following:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check Clearance, and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Clearance at the employee’s expense.
- Basic employment verification, national criminal database search and five-panel drug screen at the College’s expense
