Director of Finance

Job Summary

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, human resources functions, and administrative systems of Westminster Preschools. This position ensures the organization's fiscal integrity, compliance with applicable regulations, and effective personnel management while supporting the mission, vision, and values of Westminster Preschools.

The Director of Finance serves as a member of the leadership team and works collaboratively with program leadership to promote operational excellence, organizational sustainability, and a positive workplace culture.

Financial Management

● Develop, monitor, and maintain the organization's operating budget.

● Process and oversee payroll accurately and on schedule.

● Monitor cash flow and financial reports.

● Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

● Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

● Monitor tuition revenue and spending trends.

● Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning.

● Support audits and financial reviews as needed.

● Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial requirements and internal fiscal policies.

● Manage grant budgets and reporting.

Human Resources

● Coordinate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and employee orientation.

● Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.

● Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.

● Coordinate employee benefits and payroll documentation.

● Maintain employment records, contracts, evaluations, and required documentation.

● Assist school leaders with employee relations and performance management.

● Coordinate annual evaluations and employee documentation.

● Support staff professional development planning.

● Schedule and maintain required employee training.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
