The Hoy Center at Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay takes a holistic approach to skilled nursing care and aging. The Scheduler manages the staff schedule for The Hoy Center (Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care) and Enhanced Services (Assisted Living) including coordinating and arranging for staff to cover call-outs and scheduled time off. Maintains accurate records of employee rosters, credentials, and contact information. Enters and edits the computer scheduling system and programs for respective teams. Runs various reports from our company platform (UKG) and the scheduling software to verify accuracy and completeness of data entered. What You’ll Do In This Role

• Consult with managers and supervisors to ensure accuracy of payroll and other reporting.
• Complete payroll responsibilities for manager approval.
• Maintain accurate records of employee names, credentials, and contact information, by entering and editing the computer scheduling program for both Hoy and ES nursing staff.
• Run various reports from UKG and the scheduling software to verify accuracy and completeness of data entered.
• Track attendance, vacation and holiday hours for payroll.
• Assist Supervisors in finding replacements for staffing call-outs and vacation requests.
• Participate in occasional clerical or administrative tasks as directed by the Administrator, including answering calls and receiving job applicants and new hires.
• Maintain accurate records documented in the on-call log for both Hoy and ES nursing staff.
• Use the Human Resources Applicant Tracking System for checking references for new applicants.
• Consult with Director of Nursing to ensure accuracy of payroll and PPD reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required

The Experience You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and Google applications.
• Flu-Vaccinated
  
  

Preferred

• Some college/Clinical training or CNA certification.
• One year experience as a Scheduler or Resource Manager.
• Experience working with an elderly population.
• COVID-19 Vaccinated. As of now, the 2025–2026 COVID-19 vaccine formulation is being distributed to providers and pharmacies; however, it has not yet received official approval from the CDC. In Virginia, pharmacists may administer COVID-19 vaccines under the Virginia Board of Pharmacy’s statewide protocols or with a direct order from a licensed medical provider. Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Range: $20.10 - $23.62 per hour (based on relevant experience).
