Summary

The Customer Service Representative supports the Westland sales and business development team by managing day-to-day customer service activities, including order processing, quote support, and customer communication. This role serves as a primary point of contact for transactional customer needs and plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and coordination between customers and internal teams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for routine customer inquiries related to orders, quotes, and delivery status
  • Process customer purchase orders, review against approved quotes, resolve discrepancies, and enter orders into the ERP system
  • Support the RFQ and quoting process by coordinating internal inputs and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems
  • Communicate order acknowledgements, production status updates, and delivery changes to customers
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and logistics to support on-time order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and documentation
  • Assist sales and account management with administrative and coordination tasks as needed
  • Support continuous improvement of customer service processes and documentation

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Customer-focused mindset with a calm, professional approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems required
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions

Education and Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in a customer service or sales support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting defense or aerospace customers is a plus

Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks.
  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Majority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions
