Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing or repair.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches, ensuring secure handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and offering support during stressful situations.
- Maintain detailed logs of all tow operations, including vehicle details, locations, and times.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or assessments when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge and mechanic experience.
- Manage conflict situations professionally, resolving issues with customers or other stakeholders calmly and effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, particularly flatbed or heavy-duty models.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Experience working with manual transmissions and understanding of automotive repair procedures.
- Valid chauffeurs license / commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred.
- Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
