While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee may be required to use stairs/elevators and have the ability to occasionally work at elevated heights. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Additionally, this position must take general decisions requiring judgement and perform activities requiring sustained concentration.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, FRC (flame retardant clothing) etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.

Duties And Responsibilities
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plans work orders, recommends and prepares materials, services, tools and equipment for planned and emergency related maintenance or repairs in area of assignment.
- Recommends and specifies standard work procedures for major and routine equipment repair.
- Coordinates priorities and sets maintenance work schedules for turnarounds and/or work areas.
- Manages PM system to implement and/or modify plans to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Manages equipment numbers and manages BOM’s for equipment revisions and installations.
- Prepares and monitors work plans to reduce downtime and optimize job performance.
- Contacts manufacturers for parts information, technical data and equipment specifications.
- Contacts Buyers and Blanket vendors for expediting and purchasing materials.
- Contacts contractors and outside shops for repair work and services as needed.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Co-ordinates work efforts with other unit planners as needed.
- Provides backup for Maintenance Supervisors as required.
- Attend training sessions as per schedule.
- Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of all personnel on site. Whenever appropriate, promptly report Safety, Health or Environmental incidents or issues to management so the situation can be corrected. Attend Monthly Safety Meetings to help prevent off site and job accidents.

- B.S. Degree or equivalent plant experience, preferable in the chemical industry.
- Five years of refinery, or chemical plant process or production experience
