Summary
Under general guidance from the Operations and/or Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will effectively lead production teams to ensure safety, quality & productivity are maintained at the highest levels, while serving as a role model in the areas of leadership, teamwork, continuous improvement and safety. The Supervisor will employ lean manufacturing methodologies to maximize production through-put and minimize cost.
This is a nightshift position (5:30pm to 5:30am)

Duties And Responsibilities
- Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
- Effectively provides and promotes a "Safety First" culture in the workplace; Ensures all machinery and safety devices and equipment are operable condition.
- Supervises and leads team to meet the goals and objectives of the business. Communicates plant performance measurements relevant to schedule conformance, machine downtime & scrap levels.
- Provides a safe environment through ensuring that proper housekeeping and organization is the culture that is promoted.
- Coordinates production personnel and plant activities to effectively attain the timely completion of plant production schedules as needed to effectively meet customer orders.
- Assist with training employees with regards to safety, quality and job-related functions.
- Maintains quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
- Maintain effective intra/inter-departmental communications as required (team meetings, shift meetings, production meetings)
- Assist in post- accident investigations, including recording of event, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Daily Production Review with manager at end of shift
- Daily Report of Quality issues
- Daily Reports submitted utilizing Daily Score Card
- Conduct daily shift-to-shift pass down of information
- Assign / maintain housekeeping throughout the department
- Review production schedule for needed WIP to meet schedule goals
- The employee should have the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 3 - 5 years' experience in functional role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Manufacturing Experience (Automated/manual production lines)
- Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen)
- Continuous Improvement Experience
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement utilizing lean manufacturing concepts
- Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Continuously stands on concrete.
- Works frequently near moving vehicles.
- Sits and works at a computer.
- Periodically stoops, kneels, crouches, walks or crawls
- Prolong standing or in stationary position
- Complete repetitive movements such as typing
- Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
- Complete repetitive movements
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, shoes, hi-visibility and hardhat protection)
- Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
- Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
