About the role:
As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will support manufacturing and new nuclear plant build projects. You will join APX Delivery Quality staff members to support the APX Delivery Team projects focused on delivery of APX products, such as the AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant.
You will report to the AP1000 Quality Manager and be located at either the Cranberry Twp, PA or Rock Hill, SC locations.” This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and use process management tools and output improvements
- Explore ways to enhance insights from events and performance
- Create or enhance reporting tools and templates
- Help develop onboarding processes for QEHS personnel including timing, training and qualification management
- Participate in an internal Quality/EHS Audit as an observer
- Gather and compile information for audit teams/in preparation for audits to enhance depth/value derived
- Support planning activities for external audit; promote APX self-assessments
- Support QEHS Managers of new build and manufacturing projects Standardize plans/templates across sites
- Support Continuous Improvement/Strategic Projects
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, nuclear engineering, industrial engineering or computer engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- No relocation assistance provided
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
