The Banquet Captain is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and executing banquet and event service to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced environment while upholding service and brand standards.
HOW YOU?LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
- Review banquet event orders and requisition additional staff or resources as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Direct staff in setting up banquet rooms, arranging tables, seating, and décor to meet event specifications.
- Create and implement structured service plans to ensure timely and professional execution of each course.
- Lead, train, and supervise wait staff and setup teams to maintain readiness and consistent service delivery.
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service, anticipating and fulfilling guest needs throughout the event.
- Monitor and ensure banquet checks are accurate, maintaining financial accountability and compliance with policies.
- Support daily banquet department operations and contribute actively to setup and service.
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and tracking of banquet equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and emergency procedures, as well as sustainability and efficiency practices.
- Serve as acting Banquet Manager in their absence, overseeing operations and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Additional coursework or certification in hospitality, event management, or a related field preferred.
