Job Summary
The FO2 Security Officer helps protect people, property, and facilities through attentive surveillance, access control, and timely response to safety concerns. You’ll patrol assigned areas, monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV), and communicate clearly with visitors and colleagues. Your impact: By identifying concerns early and responding calmly, you help people feel safer and support a secure environment.
Duties
- Monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems; operate access control systems and verify authorized entry.
- Patrol buildings and grounds, observe physical security conditions, and follow emergency response procedures.
- Respond to incidents, use conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques, and request emergency assistance when needed.
- Conduct background checks as assigned and prepare accurate incident reports.
- Provide customer service while following security procedures and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated security experience or relevant Military or law enforcement experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of physical security, patrolling, surveillance, access control, and compliance with security regulations.
- First aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) skills, including automated external defibrillator (AED) operation, are preferred; Taser and firearm handling qualifications may be required where authorized.
- Able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting as needed, and remain alert while walking or standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to respond professionally under pressure.
Pay: $25.08 - $30.20 per hour
