Medical Assistant (MA, CMA) - 0.9 FTE Specialty Clinic

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (0.9 FTE) to work in the Specialty Care Clinic at the Baldwin Campus. The MAs are key members of the health care delivery team responsible for flow of patients through the clinic. Responsibilities also include obtaining and verifying information from the patients to maximize provider’s efficiency. The MAs assist physicians and physician assistants prepare for patient exams and treatments and provide other support functions as directed. All of this is done to support the organization’s mission while living our values.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior work experience with electronic medical records
• Certification as a Medical Assistant

Other qualifications:

• Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
• Critical thinking skills (foresight to pre planning of visits)
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software and electronic medical records
• Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business information
• Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards

Work Schedule:

• 0.9 FTE - 72 hours per biweekly pay period
  • Possible 1 evening shift
• Saturday Urgent Care rotation (3-4 per year) 8am-2pm
