What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Gift Shop Manager position at Western Village Inn & Casino?
The Assistant Gift Shop Manager assists in overseeing the daily operation of the gift shop. Including managing sales, merchandising, inventory, customer service, financial and administrative tasks.
Duties:
- Consistently create a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting, providing quick response to customer inquiries and needs.
- Maintain par levels of store products and order store supplies weekly.
- Receives regular vendor deliveries and stocks sales floor in a timely manner while maintain store aesthetic.
- Perform quarterly inventory.
- Ensure the gift shop is fully staffed.
- Assist Director in identifying training needs and provide ongoing training to the team as needed.
- Creates Staff Schedules and updates and approves weekly payroll.
- Ensure good communication with Retail team.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must obtain an Alcohol Awareness Card.
- Three or more years of customer service experience required.
- Ability to lift 30lbs. frequently.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
