Animal Hospital of East Davie is a 3-doctor small animal and pocket pet practice in Advance, NC — founded in 2004 and built over 20 years into a full-service hospital offering general medicine, urgent care, soft tissue surgery, canine reproduction, dentistry, diagnostics, and full boarding and grooming through the Davie Dog House. Fear Free certified, well-equipped, and driven by a team that has been together for years and genuinely likes each other — this is the kind of clinic where clients know the staff by name and staff actually stay.
We're heading into our most exciting chapter yet: a brand-new 9,000 sq ft facility is breaking ground in 2026 right on our current property. This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schedule And Compensation
- Compensation: $15 - 17 per hour, for each hour worked
- Schedule: This is a full-time position with a set, predictable schedule — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shifts rotate between 6 and 10 hours depending on the day, totaling approximately 30–32 hours per week. You'll always know when you're coming in, and you'll have Thursdays and weekends to recharge. No on-call requirements.

- 1 years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
- Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred
- Experience with boarding and grooming facilities is preferred
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
- Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially Avimark, preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
- Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
- Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods
