Veterinary Assistant

Jenks Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for outgoing assistants with a strong background in patient care and handling, who thrive on building meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

In This Role, You Will

• Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity.
• Support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Cross trained and willingness to help with client service hours on rotation.
  
  

This position is ideal for team members who excel in client engagement and schedule management while delivering exceptional care and communication.

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Saturday shifts are on rotation with a 7:30 AM- 12:00 PM shift.

• Compensation: $16-$18 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

• Medication: oral and topical administration
• Sample Collection: venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
• Diagnostics: Microscope evaluation experience, not required
• Imaging: Accurate positioning for radiographs and ultrasound procedures
• Client Communication: Confident in client education and explaining treatment plans with clarity and compassion
