Veterinary Assistant

Animal HealthCare Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician! This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician ready to take the next step in their career and grow as a leader within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Our technical team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. As Lead Veterinary Technician, you will provide guidance and oversight to our team of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants while continuing to perform hands-on technical duties and serve as a clinical resource.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care
• Monitor daily operations to maintain safety and uphold medical standards
• Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to help team members grow
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture
• Support doctors with surgical, dental, and inpatient care coordination
  
  

This position is ideal for technicians with strong emotional intelligence, excellent multitasking abilities, and a passion for building and guiding a high-performing team.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5/8 schedule. Availability is needed Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: Starting at $18 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500-$2,000 based on experience and licensure

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Set

• 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Foundational skills in:
• Surgical assisting & anesthesia monitoring
• Digital radiology and dental radiographs
• Phlebotomy and catheter placement
• Laboratory sample processing
• Inpatient care and monitoring
• Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and accountability
• A compassionate, team-first attitude and eagerness to grow your skills in veterinary medicine
