The Manager of Product Operations, US Digital Banking will play an important role in shaping and executing the product operations strategy for our U.S. digital banking products. This role will help drive product operational efficiency, scalability and reliability of our digital wallet, debit card, prepaid card and core banking platform. The manager will focus on driving superior customer experience, day-to-day banking operations and seamless workplan execution to foster transaction growth. The position places a particular emphasis on supporting both digital and retail channels, to deliver secure, compliant, and innovative experiences related to onboarding, deposits and account/card usage for our U.S. customers.

HYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.

The on-target earnings range is $135,000 - $160,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.

Product Operations
- Develop business requirements and partner with product teams to implement product requirements based on internal policies and procedures
- Leverage banking product operational expertise related to accounts, cards and payments to manage operations with internal and external partners.
- Define and create the business and process requirements for product operations in collaboration with our cross-functional teams.
- Prioritize, plan and execute the implementation of operational changes.
- Monitor and report on key product operational metrics, drive root cause analysis for issues, and execute rapid response plans to uphold service excellence. Collaborate with Data Analytics and Engineering teams to build real-time monitoring tools.
- Oversee the daily operations of card production/fulfilment, banking related financial ops and money movement, core account funding platforms, and other digital banking related features as assigned, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and scalability.
- Establish and maintain documentation, controls, and knowledge sharing for platform operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, proactively anticipating operational risks and ensuring solutions are scalable and future-proof.
- Work with partner banks, fintechs, and third-party vendors to ensure operational standards and SLAs are met consistently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- 5 years of experience in banking operations, payments, core account services, or financial services product operations, with team management experience.
- Practical knowledge of U.S.-based banking products, card issuing and digital wallets, and related regulatory and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in risk management, operational controls, fraud prevention, and incident response.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with experience using data to drive operational outcomes.
