Position Overview
As the Area Sales Manager, you'll lead sales initiatives for all assigned Idaho properties, focusing on corporate, group, and extended-stay business segments. You'll play a key role in increasing occupancy, strengthening brand presence, and building long-term client partnerships throughout the Boise metro area.
This role requires regular local travel between properties and active engagement within the business community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for multiple hotel locations
- Prospect and secure new business across corporate, government, and group segments
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of high-value client accounts
- Respond to RFPs, inbound leads, and sales inquiries with urgency and professionalism
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, and property tours
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and group agreements
- Track and manage sales activity using CRM tools
- Partner with General Managers and operations teams to ensure seamless group execution
- Represent properties at industry events, networking functions, and local organizations
Performance Expectations
Success in this role will be evaluated based on:
- Revenue growth and market share gains
- Occupancy and ADR improvement across properties
- Lead generation and pipeline development
- Conversion rates and account retention
- Community involvement and brand visibility
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years in hotel or hospitality sales
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel locally between Boise/Nampa properties
Preferred:
- Experience working with Hilton and/or Marriott brands
- Background in multi-property or regional sales roles
