The function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site installing, repairing and/or replacing fire alarm equipment as well as conducting preventive maintenance services pertaining to many different manufacturer’s equipment.

Job Responsibilities
- Tests all equipment after installation or repairs made to ensure performance of system
- Use company software to input testing results and read blueprints
- Analysis and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems including Ground-Faults, Shorts, Wire Integrity, Termination, Panel, Fuses, Battery Testing and much more
- Program dialers for monitoring. Phone line traditional and cell phone monitoring skills needed
- Complete repairs and installations including moves, adds, relocates for all types of systems and devices
- Interact with clients, field personnel and fire marshals
- Coordination with other disciplines, engineers, general contractors and end users
- Daily communications with Project Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of jobs
- Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems inspection and installation techniques
- All work is performed to NFPA and Company standards with quality inspection and installation techniques practiced
- Knowledge of NFPA codes is required
- NICET I Certification a plus
- High School Diploma/ GED required
- Fire Alarm Service Experience required
- Manufactures certifications are preferred but not required (Silent Knight, Gamewell, FCI, Fire Lite, Honeywell)
- Field installation experience
- OSHA 30 is a plus
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check
- LEA License Required
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
