Marketing Specialist

Western is looking for an organized, proactive, and people-focused Marketing Specialist to support our growing Arizona market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning plans into action coordinating events, supporting team members, building community connections, and making sure the details come together to create a consistent and positive Western experience.

As our Marketing Specialist, you’ll serve as an important local resource for Marketing in Arizona. You’ll work closely with the Marketing team, local leaders, vendors, and community partners to coordinate events, culture initiatives, new hire activities, promotional materials, lobby branding, community partnerships, and more.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate Arizona events by managing logistics, materials, communications, promotional needs, and other details that help create successful employee, customer, and community experiences.

• Support the new hire experience by coordinating Marketing-related onboarding activities, including announcements, headshots, nametags, nameplates, branded materials, and new hire gifts.

• Bring our culture to life by supporting employee engagement activities and experiences in partnership with local leaders and the Marketing team.

• Maintain our brand presence by monitoring Arizona lobby spaces and coordinating signage, displays, materials, and updates to ensure they consistently reflect Western's brand standards.

• Manage promotional items by monitoring inventory, coordinating distribution, and identifying replenishment needs.

• Support community involvement by coordinating Western's participation in established Arizona nonprofit and community partnerships, activities, and events.

• Coordinate with vendors to communicate project needs, timelines, and deliverables and help ensure work is completed successfully.

• Oversee our branded vehicle by coordinating scheduling, appearance, availability, and approved maintenance for events and marketing activities.

• Manage multiple projects and priorities while proactively identifying needs, resolving routine issues, and keeping stakeholders informed.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you’re someone who takes ownership, pays attention to the details, and enjoys working with a variety of people and projects. You’re comfortable making day-to-day decisions independently, but you also know when to ask questions or bring others in.

Required qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, project coordination, business development support, or a related area.

• Experience coordinating multiple projects, events, deadlines, contributors, and approvals.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.

• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, and recommend practical solutions within established processes and standards.

• Ability to evaluate brand and presentation needs and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

• Experience using project management and design tools.

• Ability to professionally work with team members, leaders, vendors, community partners, and other stakeholders.

• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours and complete limited overnight travel for training or special events.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, or similar platforms.

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.

• Experience tracking marketing expenses or supporting a departmental budget.
