Salt Lake City, UT | Full-Time
About the Role
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can take the lead on how WPMA shows up visually—across
our publications, events, and marketing. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the
creative side of design and the satisfaction of bringing projects all the way through to completion.
You’ll be working on everything from magazines and newsletters to event materials and campaigns.
Some days you’ll be laying out a multi-page publication, other days you’ll be creating signage for a
convention or pulling together a quick marketing piece. If you like variety and staying busy, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing
Publications & Content
• Design and produce our print and digital publications
• Help write, edit, and lay out newsletters, magazines, directories, and event materials
• Keep everything looking consistent and on-brand
• Prep files for print and work with vendors to make sure the final product looks great
Events & Marketing
• Create materials for events—brochures, signage, presentations, and more
• Help shape the look and feel of our conventions and programs
• Write and design marketing pieces, campaigns, and promotional content
• Put together things like surveys, manuals, and ads when needed
Brand & Day-to-Day Work
• Help guide and maintain WPMA’s overall look and voice
• Work with leadership and team members to bring ideas to life
• Manage multiple projects at once and keep things moving
• Coordinate with printers, vendors, and partners
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves
• Solid experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Strong layout and design skills—you know how to make things look clean, clear, and professional
• Comfortable working on both print and digital projects
• Able to juggle multiple deadlines without things slipping through the cracks
• Good communication skills—you can explain your ideas and ask the right questions
Nice to have (but not required)
• A few years of design or publications experience
• Experience with print production (setting up files, working with printers, etc.)
• Some familiarity with web, social media, or email design
• Experience in an association, nonprofit, or similar organization
A Bit About You
You’re someone who likes to take ownership of your work and see projects through from start to finish. You’re organized, dependable, and pay attention to the details—but you also know when to move quickly and get things done.
You’re comfortable working with different people, open to feedback, and willing to jump in wherever
needed. Most importantly, you care about doing good work and making things look great.
Why This Role is Unique
At WPMA, you won’t be boxed into one type of design work. You’ll have the chance to work on a wide
range of projects and play a big role in shaping how the organization looks and communicates.
Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Benefits package
• A steady, full-time role with a team that values what you do
