Extremely fast-paced physician office looking for part-time individual to work "float" position (front desk and medical assistant duties) Monday, Wednesday, Friday as well as vacation coverage as needed. Interested parties should have a pleasant personality, strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and be able to work well with fellow employees in a small office setting. Must be able to handle self appropriately under high pressure. No experience necessary.
Schedule:
- Monday 8am-5pm
- Wednesday 12:45-6-6:30pm
- Friday 8am-3pm
Front Office Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
- Schedule appointments for patients and ensure that they are aware of their appointment times and what they need to bring to appointments
- Maintain patient records and update charts with current insurance cards and patient demographic information
- Collect payments from patients and process payments in a timely manner.
- Sort, distribute and scan appropriate paperwork into EMR.
- Balance cash drawer and prepare bank deposit
- Perform all duties respectful of confidentiality and safety of all patients, employees and Providers.
- Daily cleaning of office
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for physician
- Clean and stock patient treatment rooms
- Assist with procedures as directed by physician
- Enter vitals information into computer program
- Schedule and pre-cert procedures
- Cover nursing homes and house calls as needed
- Daily cleaning of clinic area
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Previous front office/medical assistant experience or background in general office work preferred but not required.
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality/discretion.
· Must be patient, courteous, and tactful.
· Ability to communicate and relate well with multiple physicians, office staff and the public.
· Ability to follow direction, accept orders and perform repetitive tasks.
· Computer literate in use of word processing, email and data entry.
Summary
As a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant, you will be essential in providing administrative/physician support and ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
