JOB SUMMARY: Residential HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in a commercial/residential setting. Accountable for the installation, assembly, and maintaining of ductwork in residential and commercial properties, ensuring efficient airflow and optimal temperature control, while adhering to safety standards. Utilize excellent technical, organizational and problem-solving skills to work independently or as part of a team. Assist in driving sales of HVAC solutions and products, while developing expertise in the HVAC industry.
Salary: $18-$35 per hour (depending upon experience)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead residential HVAC retrofit installations, new residential construction projects
- Pre-measure job sites in order to properly prepare for installation.
- Install complete HVAC systems including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, ductwork, and related components according to plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with homeowners and office staff throughout the installation process
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and local code requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites.
- Determining parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
- Communicate professionally with customers and office staff
- Complete jobs efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Complete light commercial HVAC installations and equipment replacements
- Will need to be able to perform basic service diagnostics and repairs
- Assist in performing scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment, including replacing filters, cleaning coils, washing air intakes, and other duties to maintain a clean system.
- Participate in Service “On-Call” schedule and dispatching emergency service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- A minimum of 1-4 years of experience as a HVAC Service Tech/Installer.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC equipment.
- Understanding electrical wiring diagrams, circuits, and safety procedures.
- Ability to calibrate and test thermostats.
- Interact professionally and build rapport with customers.
- Manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain organized records.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and self-motivated

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
