This is a seasonal position, running from mid-April through mid-July.
Position Summary:
The Team Member - Garden Center position is responsible for completing customer purchase transactions, assisting in basic cleaning and product stocking, assisting with plant care, including pruning/deadheading, watering, and display maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service at the Garden Center. This is not a supervisory position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proper handling of all customer purchase transactions, including the tender of cash, checks, credit and debit cards, and gift cards.
- Perform till countdowns as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Take and submit customer requests to the Garden Center Manager.
- Stock and merchandise Garden Center items, including plants and gardening supplies.
- Assist with pricing inventory and unloading deliveries as requested.
- Assist with plant care, including watering, as requested.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.

Special Considerations:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Working conditions include a fast-paced retail environment that involves long intervals of standing, crouching and reaching while moving product. Exposure to all weather conditions, including rain, wind, heat, and sun, consistent with standard Michigan summer weather.
