We are seeking a Cutting Apprentice to support our Cutting Department by operating a clicker machine to cut leather parts accurately according to specifications. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select the appropriate dies and position leather correctly.
• Inspect leather for quality and defects prior to cutting.
• Ensure all cut pieces meet required standards and measurements.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while following company policies.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. 
• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and machines.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required
• Repetitive motion required in cutting tasks.

Work Environment:

• This is an on-site position at our facility
• Work may involve exposure to leather materials, adhesives, and mechanical equipment
• Noise level and temperature may vary depending on department

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday weekends as needed. 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed. 
• Shift hours may vary between 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM depending on department assignment.
