We are seeking a Cutting Apprentice to support our Cutting Department by operating a clicker machine to cut leather parts accurately according to specifications. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select the appropriate dies and position leather correctly.
- Inspect leather for quality and defects prior to cutting.
- Ensure all cut pieces meet required standards and measurements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while following company policies.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
- Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and machines.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required
- Repetitive motion required in cutting tasks.
Work Environment:
- This is an on-site position at our facility
- Work may involve exposure to leather materials, adhesives, and mechanical equipment
- Noise level and temperature may vary depending on department
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday weekends as needed. 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed.
- Shift hours may vary between 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM depending on department assignment.
