Assistant Research Hydrologist

Western Kentucky University (WKU) is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Assistant Research Hydrologist to serve as Lab Manager for the Crawford Hydrology Laboratory (CHL). CHL is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in groundwater flow investigations, specializing in advanced fluorescent dye tracing techniques within karst landscape and aquifer systems.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day laboratory operations, oversee quality assurance programs, supervise student employees, assist with field investigations.

• Master's degree in Geosciences, Hydrology, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related STEM discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working in an analytical laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, data analysis software, and standard scientific quality control protocols.
• Strong technical writing abilities and excellent interpersonal communication for client and university relations.

Hourly Range: $24.62 - $25.64
