Night Plant Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Night Plant Operator to oversee the operations of our biodiesel plant during nighttime shifts. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of plant processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance. Responsibilities

• Operation of master control system and process production system
• Timely and accurately recording data and generating system reports
• Assisting with loading and receiving products as needed
• Working with and around hazardous chemicals while wearing proper PPE
• Performing various quality control functions in order to ensure the quality of our products, while maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept facilities
• Physical and visual inventory
• Operating lab equipment
• Reading and comprehending PID’s and PFD’s
• Analyzing problems and implementing corrective actions
• Following safe work practices, policies, and procedures of Western Iowa Energy
• Following regulations of the State of Iowa and the Federal Government
• Working at extreme temperatures, (Heat and Cold) temperatures may range from below zero to 125°F
• Working at heights, on ladders and in or on powered industrial equipment
• Frequently climbing stairs on a daily basis
• Ability to enter confined spaces. (Entrance width is 20”)
• Valid Driver’s License or work permit and current automobile insurance
• Assist with general facility maintenance and housekeeping duties, including equipment inspections and monitoring throughout the facility.

BASIC MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires mental alertness at all time to assure safety and accuracy in all functions. There is stress related to meeting production deadlines.

Weight carried, lifted, or moved will be up to 50 lbs. unassisted, 50-250 lbs. assisted, and up to 600 lbs. with handcart

Repetitive hand movements consist of firm grasping and fine manipulation

This job also requires the following: being around moving machinery and vehicles, operating automotive equipment, wearing personal protective equipment and the ability to tolerate an extended period of physical effort.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour
