RESPONSIBILITIES: The main purpose of this position is to work with the

Rural Transit Assistance Center\'s (RTAC) program director and other

transit specialists to fulfill the center\'s goals to provide high

quality technical assistance and training to rural transit operators

receiving Section 5310 and Section 5311 funding; and to promote public

and specialized transportation in rural areas, achieved via the

completion of the RTAC\'s annual overall Work Plan. The major parts of

this position\'s work are to coordinate the outward-facing aspects of

RTAC, including marketing and the newsletter. This position will also

coordinate events and handle some administrative tasks including the

Annual RTAC Roadeo. Tasks May Include

• Supervise the coordination of the activities of the statewide Roadeo
• Develop RTAC Marketing Plan and maintain all other outward-facing
  
  

RTAC communications

• Take a secondary role in providing assistance during the spring
  
  

conference

• Maintain and update the RTAC website
• Produce and publish the quarterly RTAC newsletter
• Produce the Regional Maintenance Center\'s workshop / Maintenance
  
  

Roadeo

• Support other RTAC training and technical assistance events and
  
  

initiatives

• Provide technical assistance to calls, emails, and other inquiries
  
  

WORK LOCATION: Macomb Campus

APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible

MONTHLY WAGE: \$4,003-\$4,403 (Anticipated starting wage of \$4,003)

• \*This is a restricted position whose continuation beyond June 30,
  
  

2027 is contingent upon the renewal of funding support, which is

reviewed annually.\****

Job Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in transportation, geography, business,
  
  

administration, or other area consistent with the duties of the

position

• A total of one (1) year of experience in project support or
  
  

creation, business administration, or management for an agency or

entity which provides assistance with social services, health,

education, transportation, or services for individuals in need.

• Pre-graduation applicants are welcome to apply. In order to be
  
  

considered for employment the degree must be conferred at the time of

application, unless applicant is in the final semester of a degree

program; if so, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment.

For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally

accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or
