DUTIES: Be able to change from one task to another of a different function without losing efficiency or composure. Administer medications and perform required treatments to assigned residents and perform resident care duties under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have completed an accredited 60-hour Medication Aide course and be CPR certified or willing to achieve it. Must also have current CNA certification with the Iowa Nurse Aide registry in good standing.

Madrid Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable and committed candidate to join our team as a CMA. In this position, you will champion serving our residents with duties such as personal care, laundry, meals and more. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to providing services and support to provide dignified and compassionate care to our residents.
Primary Functions:
- Completes the preparation and administration of prescribed medications, clinical tests and medical treatments
- Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a RN or LPN
- Promptly answers all call lights to determine resident needs and takes appropriate action
- Performs resident personal care including bed, bath/whirlpool, nails, hair and oral hygiene
- Assists with resident care, laundry, meals and other assigned duties
- Uses gaitbelt, lifts and other safety equipment as required by careplan
Education, Experience and Training:
- Must be certified by the State of Iowa as a CMA
- Must be CPR certified or willing to achieve
- Strong commitment to helping others
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
Scheduling:
- Regular attendance and punctuality is required
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
