Terramac is looking for Warehouse Lead at our Sugar Grove, IL, location. The Warehouse Lead supports warehouse operations to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Their duties include training new employees on how to use machinery, and monitoring compliance with safety standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure the safe use of warehouse equipment to stage, receive, up stock, locate, pack, and ship all inventory.
- Monitor daily workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure products are processed in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to address inventory, concerns, and accuracy.
What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to set goals, motivate, and manage conflict.
- Effective communication skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse.
- Familiarity with accounting, inventory control practices, and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. on your own.
- Forklift experience.
