We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant /Registered Dental Assistant for our General and Ortho Traveling team to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with various clinical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office while adhering to all safety and health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage dental supplies inventory and assist with ordering as needed.
- Perform sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental environment.
- Support procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to enhance patient experience.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Dental Assistant experience
- Experience with X-Ray technology and medical imaging.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Experience using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
