WNCSource has an opening for a Head Start(3 to 5 yrs.), or Infant Toddler Teacher (0 to 3 yrs.) who will plan and implement learning experiences for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
· Sign On Bonuses up to $4500 for qualified applicants.
· Possible Relocation Assistance - 2-year Quarterly stipend
Qualifications
- Minimum: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or related field with equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development.
- Preferred: Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field with focus on infant and toddler development.
- Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.

Teacher responsibilities include:

Engaging in classroom activities and teaching in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the WNCSource Head Start program building and maintaining a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families.

Planning and implementing learning experiences as part of the Head Start curriculum that address physical health and development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language development and communication, and cognitive development.

Creating ongoing assessments of the growth and development of assigned children to form instruction and measure progress toward School Readiness Goals.

Partnering with families to develop positive, open, relationship-based two-way communication using home visits, parent/teacher conferences and other communication tools.

Establishing procedures to support successful transitions for enrolled children and families into and out of Early Head Start.

Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground.
