This position works in collaboration with center staff and community partners to ensure children and families receive comprehensive services according to Head Start Performance Standards.
Family Advocate Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule and conduct quarterly Family Engagement activities collaborating with teaching staff and families.

Assist in the processing of enrollment, transfer, and termination paperwork of Early Head Start, Head Start, and Child Care Partnership center children.

Assist in the recruitment and enrollment of Early Head Start and Child Care Partnership children throughout the year.

Assist and empower families to locate resources and schedule appointments with community resources that best meet their needs.

Monitor children’s attendance and provide support services to the teacher and families as needed.

Actively engage in team collaboration meetings.

Enhance job growth through training and education.

Use a strength-based approach to empower the family, support systems and resources.
