GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Westermeyer Industries is searching for a Tester to join our team. As a tester, you will be responsible for checking our pieces and products pass our standards and prepare these parts for their next step. The ideal candidate is thorough and pays close attention to detail.

Westermeyer Industries designs, manufactures, and distributes high-quality components and accessories for the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries. Products include pressure vessels such as oil separators, receivers, accumulators, oil filters, condensers, and evaporators, as well as level and pressure detection devices and a range of replacement parts. Hourly—Full Time
$17 – $22

SCHEDULE

40-50 / week
Non-Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform nitrogen tests on piece parts
• Charge components with nitrogen at specified test pressures
• Submerge parts under water and check for leakage from weld or braze joints
• Send defective pieces to welders for repair
• Stamp acceptable pieces with identifying stamp and stage for powder painting
• Help painter prepare parts for painting as required
• Inspect parts for mechanical and cosmetic defects
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on test fixtures and clamps
• Notify supervisor of need for replacement fixtures and repair parts
• Maintain cleanliness of test tanks and equipment
• Change filters as required
• Complete job packet sign offs as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• 20/20 Vision with or without eyeglasses
• Blueprint training
• Familiar with high pressure and the use of air tools
• Experience with ISO-9001 requirements
• Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or related field

• Lifting, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending
