What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC and Refrigeration Service Manager position at Westermann Commercial Appliance?
I’m looking to bring on a Service Manager in Colorado, with most of our work centered in the Denver area.
We’re a team of 11, and we focus on restaurant equipment—cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC.
We’ve got a solid group of techs and a good reputation, and I’m protective of both. We already have a Service Coordinator who handles the phones and scheduling, so this role is about leadership, not admin work.
What I need is someone who really knows refrigeration and hot side, and who’s confident enough to lead from the front. This isn’t just about managing—it’s about setting the tone, helping train our techs, building their confidence, and making sure the work going out the door is something we’re proud to stand behind.
I hold our team to a high standard, and I’m looking for someone who will do the same—someone who takes pride in doing things right, not just getting them done.
I also understand that going to work for someone new can be a big decision. If you’re considering this, I’d encourage you to call anyone on my team and ask what it’s like to work here and what it’s like to work with me. I don’t believe in taking advantage of my people or my customers. I try to run a fair, honest business, and I take care of my team.
We don’t have a lot of turnover, and that’s not by accident. The guys here like where they work, and that matters to me.
If you’re someone who knows your trade, takes pride in your work, and wants to be part of a team that actually cares about what they’re building, we should talk.
