What are the responsibilities and job description for the Editorial Project Manager (UK-based) position at Westchester Publishing Services?
Westchester Publishing Services UK is a division of Westchester Publishing Services, and we are growing to support our expanding client list. We currently have an opening for 30 hours (5 days per week), for an academic and trade publishing project manager.
The position is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week spent on-site in our York office and 3 working from home. You will be working across multiple publisher accounts and be responsible for accounts of your own.
Responsibilities
- Manage schedules, workflows, budgets, freelancers, and suppliers
- Copyedit and proofread to quality-check the work of freelancers and our in-house typesetting teams
- Ability to understand XML-first workflows, digital and litho publishing
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years book and journal production experience
- Prior work experience in academic publishing highly desirable
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Knowledge and ability to retain different house styles
- Excellent client-facing attitude essential
