Responsibilities
- Provide dog handling and training tailored to individual needs of each dog in our care.
- Assist with daily care routines to ensure dogs are comfortable, safe, and happy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the pet care facility through thorough cleaning and sanitization practices
- Support pet grooming activities to keep dogs looking and feeling their best
- Ensure proper animal care by monitoring health, behavior, and safety during all interactions
- Assist with outdoor work such as walking, exercising, and supervising dogs in open spaces or outdoor play areas
Skills
- Proven experience in dog training, animal handling, or pet care facilities
- Organizational skills necessary as well as working in a fast paced environment.
- Veterinary technician experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with kennel operations, and pet boarding procedures.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior to address various training needs confidently
- Commitment to animal care standards including sanitization, facility maintenance, and safety protocols
