This position is PART TIME for Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Our working hours are 9-5 on Monday and Thursday, and 9-3 on Saturday.

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become an essential part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas with all necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and professionalism.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Manage patient records by updating medical histories, documenting treatment details in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, and ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality.
- Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary to ensure their safety during procedures.
- Support infection control practices by sterilizing instruments, maintaining proper disposal procedures, and adhering to OSHA guidelines.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and answer their questions with clarity and empathy.
- Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and reduce procedure times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages while providing education on oral health topics.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately when required during treatments or examinations.
- Certification in radiography (X-ray license); additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are a plus.
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27.0 per week
