ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Dance Instructor to join our Beach Camp team. The Dance Instructor will report to the Camp Director and will be responsible for designing, planning and executing a successful and fulfilling Camp Dance program.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Dance Instructor must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Camp Director, including but not limited to:
- Complete all camp staff orientations and training
- Complete all required paperwork pertaining to Department of Health requirements. policy, and Department of Health requirements.
- Order necessary materials and equipment for six weeks of camp activities.
- Create and conduct age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate dance activities for campers ages 5-10.
- Plan activities for campers that use play, exploration and dance using various movement concepts to expand their range of motion in a fun and imaginative manner.
- Presence at camp during camp operational hours, beginning Monday, June 29 until Friday, August 7, Monday–Friday. Typical camp hours being 9:00 am–2:30 pm, however starting times may vary according to the Camp Director’s discretion
- There will also be two pre-camp orientations. Dates and times TBD.
- Assist Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director with daily Camp operations as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Must have prior experience in dance activities such as, but not limited to Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Jazz.
- Be an Innovative leader.
- Certified Teacher or experienced working with elementary aged children.
- Working primarily in and around the designated Camp areas, both indoor and outdoor
PAY RANGE
$22.00 - $25.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience
