Do you have a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and a desire to lead? The Arc of Westchester is seeking dedicated and experienced Assistant Residence Managers to join our team.
In this leadership role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of our residents. You'll provide direct oversight to direct care staff and collaborate with supervisors to manage all aspects of our residential programs in a group home setting.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise direct care staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Ensure residents' physical, social, emotional, communication, safety, and independent living needs are met.
- Implement and enforce all policies and regulations within the residence.
- Advocate for residents and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma, Associate's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- A valid NYS driver's license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a residential setting providing services for individuals with IDD.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
