Position Summary:
The Construction Assistant in this position will aid in the refurbishing, remodeling, and routine maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities. Essential Job Functions include:

•  Provides assistance in new construction, refurbishing, remodeling, and the regular maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities;
•    Provide general labor assistance in FitzHouse projects;
•    Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites;
•    Operate basic hand and power tools safely;
•    Communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, and team members.
•    Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation;
•    Performs all other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

Certifications/Licensures:
•Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.

Education:
•High school Diplomas or GED equivalent required.

Experience and Competencies:
•Basic knowledge of remodeling and construction techniques and tools required;
•Ability to work independently and as part of the team required;
•Experience in facility operation and maintenance required;
•Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion required;
•Ability to be aware of and adhere to specific timeframes and time limitations required;
•Ability to utilize office equipment and programs, such as printers, scanners, phones, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc. required;
•Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality required;
