Transportation Financial Specialist 1 will report to the Federal Aid section of the Finance Division. This position requires complex critical thinking and highly specialized accounting. Position performs accounting support duties under general supervision. Responsibilities include reconciling federal projects to ensure all expenditures are captured accurately, verifying reimbursements, understanding of excel pivot tables, journal voucher corrections in WVOASIS. Performs related work as required.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform reconciliations of data for federal projects.
- Perform budget increase & decrease for federal projects.
- Process journal voucher corrections.
- Identifies and corrects own routine posting errors.
- Financial support in general accounting.
TRAINING/EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Substitution: Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budget, or business may be substituted for the required training/education through an established formula.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
No experience required.
Promotional Only: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Transportation Financial Associate.
