Job Description Summary
Responsible for daily operations and management for the New Martinsville campus, developing and implementing strategies to enhance student retention and graduation rates. Serves as principal liaison and representative with community, local schools, agencies, and organizations in the campus service area and has primary purchasing responsibility for the campus.
As the primary campus advisor, this position works closely with students, staff, faculty, and the public to enhance the mission of WVNCC and the recruitment and retention of all WVNCC students.
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to
Essential Functions
45 % TIME
Provide day-to-day campus management including daily operations of the campus, decision making and problem solving. Ensure campus coverage and security. In consultation with administration, evaluate needs of the campus, prepare campus budget, and monitor campus expenses and budget allocations. Primary purchasing agent for the campus. Provide documentation via the state system for purchases. Provide consultation regarding class scheduling, faculty, staffing, and advise division chairs regarding faculty attendance, classroom performance issues and other instructional needs. Provide input to college-wide functional areas. In collaboration with the Director of Facilities and maintenance staff, ensure that the facilities are maintained to create a pleasant, clean, and safe environment.
20 % TIME
In collaboration with the Information Technology Department, ensure campus technology needs are met and maintained. In collaboration with the Academic Resource Center, ensure students with any needs in that area are getting the support that they need. Identify, recommend, monitor, and supervise work study students for the campus. Plan for, manage, and complete tasks for annual campus events. Serve as principal contact for resolving student issues and/or concerns working with others as necessary.
In consultation with the Director of Facilities and Director of Information Technology, provide day-to-day supervision of the campus employees including but not limited to work assignments, discipline, work performance, leave scheduling, work schedule, timecard approval, and evaluation interaction/completion. Provide communication to campus staff, faculty, and students as necessary.
Primary contact for emergency situations and possible class cancellations and college/campus closings in consultation with the President or designee
Implement strategies to continuously move the campus forward. Principal liaison and representative with community, local schools, agencies, and organizations within the campus service area. Respond to and determine feasibility of community request for use of facilities. In collaboration with others, promote Early Entrance opportunities for high school students in the campus service area.

Coordinate marketing strategies in collaboration with the Director of Communications and Recruitment. In collaboration with others, coordinate strategies to enhance retention and graduation rates. As needed take photos at campus events.

Possess a basic knowledge of Student Services areas related to financial aid, registration, advising, testing, articulations, academic support, billing (payment options), career placement, transfer information, veteran's affair issues, admissions documents, residency requirements, and occasionally personnel matters; provide information on continuing education courses and programs including admissions requirements and paperwork, financial aid and veteran's options and payment/billing options. Provide guidance to students on selective admission programs.

Provide students with community education course registration and payment information. Service both day and evening (traditional and adult students) through flexible work schedule.
The Campus Manager also assists the Academic Resource Center as needed on disabilities services.

In collaboration with others, coordinates college orientations for new, transfer, and Early Entrance students.

Provide support for student organizations to provide a student-centered environment: Assist campus full-time and adjunct faculty with student processing and campus issues.

Assist with student activities, campus student leadership and campus events; assist with student government community service projects for the campus; attend campus events. Attend monthly SGA meetings and all other trainings for the club.
