NOTICE OF VACANCY-EXTRA DUTY
Position Title:
- Temporary Summer Paint Crew Workers
- JMHS, MCTC, Head Start Building, MVS, PES/PMS and Monroe County Board Office.
Job Description:
- Summer paint crew applicants will paint at the schools and the board office and must be able and willing to climb scaffolding and ladders.
- Note: This position cannot interfere with regular duties and/or schedule of current employees and must be completed before school starts in August.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, pursuant to WV Code 18A-2-5;
- Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code 18-5-15c;
- Meet the definition of "Qualifications" in WV Code 18A-4-8b;
- demonstrated competency, pursuant to WV Code 18A-4-8e (state-approved competency test) as required: painting.
- Preference will be given to 200 Day Employed Custodians or current Monroe County School Employees.
Salary:
- Daily Rate of Pay $133.45 (Base Rate) Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule.
Effective Date:
- June 15, 2026, through August 7, 2026, as needed, not to exceed 4 days per building
