General Description - The primary functions of a registered nurse in assessing, planning, coordinating, and implementing patient care specific to the age of the patient population in the emergency department. Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with unit’s standards of care. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.
Mandatory overtime is an essential job function of this position. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a criminal background check and a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Welch Community Hospital is a tobacco free campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: None.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered nurse.

Pay: $28.19 - $42.29 per hour
