Position Overview
The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the program. This role provides leadership and supervision to therapists, counselors, and clinical staff while ensuring treatment services meet the highest standards of quality, ethics, and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and clinical oversight for all treatment services within the program
- Develop, implement, and maintain evidence-based treatment programming for substance use disorders
- Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary clinical team, promoting professional growth and accountability
- Review and monitor patient treatment plans to ensure quality care and positive outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and accreditation standards
- Conduct clinical staff evaluations and coordinate ongoing training and professional development
- Collaborate with medical, operational, and administrative leadership to ensure integrated patient care
- Oversee clinical documentation standards and case management practices
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and support program development efforts
- Maintain relationships with referral partners, community providers, and aftercare resources
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
- Active professional licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- 3 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment
- 2 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based addiction treatment models and best practices
- Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF, or state regulations)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and support a remote clinical team effectively
