Remodeling Technician / Carpenter
West Tennessee Property Solutions is seeking a dependable, experienced Remodeling Technician to join our growing team in Jackson, Tennessee.
We perform a wide variety of residential improvement projects, including kitchen and bathroom remodeling, decks, fences, patio covers, flooring, drywall, painting, trim carpentry, demolition, repairs, and outdoor-living projects.
This position is for someone who understands residential construction, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can complete assigned work without requiring constant supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform residential remodeling, repair, and installation work
- Complete carpentry, framing, trim, drywall, flooring, painting, demolition, fencing, deck, and exterior projects
- Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install materials
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Protect customers’ homes and maintain clean, organized jobsites
- Identify problems and communicate material or project needs
- Follow project instructions and quality standards
- Work professionally around customers, subcontractors, and other team members
- Load, unload, and transport tools and materials as needed
Required qualifications:
- At least 2 years of remodeling, carpentry, maintenance, or residential construction experience
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting at least 75 pounds
- Working knowledge of measurements, levels, saws, drills, and common construction tools
- Ability to arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance
- Professional appearance and respectful communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with bathroom or kitchen remodeling
- Experience with tile, flooring, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, decks, fencing, or patio structures
- Ability to read a scope of work and develop a basic material list
- Personal hand tools
- Experience leading a helper or small crew
- Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge is helpful but not required
