Comptroller

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Comptroller to lead our financial management and ensure the integrity of our accounting operations. As a key member of the leadership team, the Comptroller will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, driving strategic financial initiatives that support organizational growth. Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial close processing.
• Supervise and develop accounting teams responsible for general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting analysis.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation activities to maintain data integrity.
• Oversee treasury management functions such as cash management, forecasting, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity.
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and financial software to streamline operations and enhance data analysis capabilities using Excel data analysis tools.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards through rigorous internal controls, regulatory reporting, and financial concepts application.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting processes and support budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in corporate accounting with a strong background in public accounting or governmental accounting environments.
• Proven expertise in managing accounting teams within complex organizations; experience leading finance team management initiatives is highly valued.
• Proficiency with accounting software systems and platforms; advanced skills in spreadsheets (Excel), including Excel data analysis techniques.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting standards including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and financial report writing.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cost accounting analysis, forecast financial trends, and conduct comprehensive financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clear financial reports and present complex concepts effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $71,354.85 - $85,932.73 per year
