QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma plus specialized training of one to two years.
2. Proficiency with keyboarding.
3. Previous experience with productivity applications and electronic communications.
4. Two years of accounting experience with automated business systems in industry or the public sector.
5. Compliance with Employment Eligibility, all required background clearances, and Physical Examination/TB test standards.
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOAL: To assist in the efficient operation of the Business Office.
A. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs the following tasks: proofreading; filing in a five-drawer file cabinet;
filing and storage on nine-foot high shelves, standing to operate copier and
collate materials, handling mail, operating paper cutter and paper drill;
transporting up to ten reams of paper and printed material to office; assuring
readiness of office equipment.
2. Assists administration in monitoring and screening all visitors to the building.
3. Reads and correctly interprets written directions and performs accurate
computations related to functions of the position.
4. Verifies accuracy of invoices prior to processing for payment.
5. Monitors general fund accounts to ensure accurate posting and consistency
with the budget; analyzes general ledger accounts; reconciles account
balances.
6. Assists Administrators with the preparation and completion of state and federal

7. Receives incoming calls from suppliers and District employees regarding the
status of payment or reimbursement.
8. Compiles and maintains 1099 information; generates and issues 1099 forms.
9. Assists local and state auditors.
10. Reconciles monthly vendor’s statements to verify receipt and payment of
invoices.
11. Assists with/completes online purchases for building and district secretaries.
12. Handle the bids/quotes for purchases of various supplies; advertises the
purchases, compiles the offers, and prepares the awards.
13. Assists with P-Card purchases; completes the appropriate documentation for
payment of credit card invoice.
14. Converts requisitions to purchase orders and processes appropriately.
15. Maintains vendor file to assure proper information is loaded in financial
software system for 1099 reports.
16. Processes discrepancy reports from school buildings and/or departments with
vendors regarding damages, shortages, or overages of shipments.
17. Provides assistance to all Business Office personnel when necessary.
18. Promotes positive public and employee relations for the District through
courteous and efficient handling of contacts and communications while serving
as a resource person on District policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as
relevant to the position.
19. Performs telephone and receptionist duties as needed.
20. Participates in required staff development activities.
21. Works during established operating hours and works extra time as needed and
approved.
22. Ensures the highest degree of confidentiality appropriate to the position.
23. Complies with the Pennsylvania School Code, the policies of the School Board
and the provisions of the Non-Bargaining Support Personnel Handbook.
24. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be
assigned by supervisor.
Pay: From $19.78 per hour
