What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Paraprofessional-Special Education (26/27 SY) position at West School?
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED, and
• Successful Completion of the Paraprofessional Test or
• 60 College Credit Hours or
• Associates Degree from an Accredited College
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to work with students at various educational levels
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to effectively communicate with students and employees
• Ability to promote good Customer Service
• Under supervision of the teacher, works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Participates in in-service training programs, as assigned.
• Performs various duties to ensure the safety of students is always maintained at the school site.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Preschool Director and Site Principal

1. High School Diploma or GED, and
2. Successful Completion of the Paraprofessional Test or 60 College Credit Hours above high school diploma or Associates Degree from an Accredited College
3. Three Letters of Recommendation, preferably from previous employers or supervisors. Please do not include letters of recommendation from relatives/family members.
4. IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
5. First Aide/CPR or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
