What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist position at West Ohio Community Action Partnership?
WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for
a Intake Specialist, primarily at our Central-Allen County location, but may be needed at our Auglaize or Mercer County sites. This position is 40 hours per week, 8-5.
Responsibilities include:
1. Interviewing, screening, reviewing, and processing applications of clients for all agency programs.
2. Ensuring confidentiality for all client files.
3. Maintaining organized documentation of all client files.
4. Submitting accurate, complete data to supervisor and required data programs.
Requirements include:
MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check. Minimum of high school diploma/GED required; Associates Degree in Human Services or Social work preferred, or relatable experience. possess Must be able to communicate effectively-written and verbally. Must have the ability to assist and relate to a diverse population.
Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle during working hours required. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
